Episode 23: My Father
Episode 23 - Join us for a game of “whose memory is worse?” Or, “what is my Hebrew name?” My dad was born in Sale, Morocco, emigrated to Israel when he was a kid and then came to America as a young man. Our family name “Bohbot” means “man with a little extra belly” in Amazigh (indigenous tribes of Morocco.) His grandmother was a healer and his name Meir, means bringer of light. Being half North African, I always loved to pretend I could get tan or eat spicy food. But nope. Tune in to hear my dad humble brag, sing some childhood songs and reminisce about his kibbutz days.
